Members
The Association had as its founding members 5 energy regulators from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, and Portugal, who where later joined by Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe. It currently has 12 members and remains committed to extending membership to all energy regulatory bodies, established in Portuguese-speaking countries.

The General Regulatory Authority – AGER – is a regulatory authority from São Tomé e Príncipe, established in 24 Augusta 2005. It is responsible for the regulation and monitoring of the sectors and services of telecommunication, post, water and electricity. It is a member of RELOP since 2009.

The National Agency for Electrical Energy – ANEEL – is a regulatory authority from Brazil, established in 26 December 1996. It aims to regulate and monitor the production, transmission and comercialization of electric power in conformity with the policies and guidelines of the federal government. It is one of the founding members of RELOP.

The National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuel – ANP – is a regulatory authority from Brazil, establihed in 14 January 1998. Its mission is to regulate the activities that integrate the oil, natural gas and biofuels industry in Brazil. It is one of the founding members of RELOP.

The National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels – ANPG – is a regulatory authority from Angola, established in 6 February 2019. Its purpose is to regulate, monitor and promote the execution of oil activities, namely operations and contracting in the domain of oil, gas and biofuels. It is a member of RELOP since 2019.

The National Agency for Petroleum of São Tomé e Príncipe – ANP-STP – is a regulatory authority from São Tomé e Príncipe, established in 30 June 2004. Its objectives include regulating, contracting and monitoring the economic activities related to the oil industry. It is a member of RELOP since 2015.

The Energy Regulatory Authority – ARENE – succeeds the National Electricity Council (CNELEC), which operated since 7 October 1997, is a regulatory authority from Mozambique, established in 8 September 2017. It has regulatory and supervision powers over the subsectors of electricity, natural gas and liquid fuels. It is a member of RELOP since 2009.

Cape Verde

The Energy Multisectoral Regulatory Agency – ARME – succeeds the Economic Regulatory Agency (ARE), which operated since 25 August 2003, is a regulatory authority from Cape Verde, established in 20 September 2018. It assures the adequate provision of services to consumers of energy, water, urban and maritime public passenger transport. It is one of the founding members of RELOP.

The National Entity for the Electric Sector, E. P. E. – ENSE, E. P. E. – suceeds the National Entity for the Fuel Market, E. P. E. (ENMC, E. P. E.), which operated since 28 December 2001, is a regulatory authority from Portugal, established on 27 August 2018. It is responsible for the establishment, management and maintenance of strategic national stock of oil and oil products and for the monitoring and supervision of all areas of the energy sector. It is a member of RELOP since 2019.

The Energy Services Regulatory Authority – ERSE – is a regulatory authority from Portugal, established on 12 April 1997. Its mission is regulating the sectors of electricity, natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas in all its cathegories, the oil-based fuels and biofuel, and the activity from the management of operations in the network of electric mobility. It is one of the founding members of RELOP.

The Regulating Institute of the Electricity and Water Services – IRSEA – succeeds the Regulating Institute of the Electric Sector (IRSE), which operates since 12 March 2002, is a regulatory authority from Angola, established on 17 March 2016. It aims to regulate the activity of production, transport, distribution, comercialization and use of electric energy in the Electric Public System, as well as the activity of withdrawal, treatment, transport and distribution of water, and the treatment and disposal of waste water. It is one of the founding members of RELOP.
