2nd International ARIAE-RELOP Conference

The Ibero-American Association of Energy Regulators (ARIAE) and RELOP are pleased to announce the 2nd Joint International Conference in Madrid, Spain. The event will take place on 12 May, from 9am to 5pm.
The conference will be held alongside a week of ARIAE events, organised by the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC) from 11 to 14 May, in which RELOP will participate.
The event follows on from the conference held in 2024 at the Itaipu Binacional hydroelectric power station in Foz do Iguaçu, and will address topics such as the promotion of a regulatory culture, strengthening the independence of regulatory bodies, and raising awareness of gender equality in the energy sector. All these topics will be examined in the context of the energy transition towards decarbonisation.
On the sidelines of the conference, a seminar organised by RELOP’s Energy Transition Working Group will take place on 13 May, focusing on ‘Sustainable Mobility’.
The conference will be broadcast live, with simultaneous interpretation into Spanish and Portuguese.
